YEARS AGO I GOT A LIKE NEW BLUE BROWNING HI POWER AS A PARTIAL FEE. SHE HAS LED A VERY DULL LIFE SINCE THEN AS A SAFE QUEEN WITH HARDLY ANY SHOOTING AND NO CARRYING. JUST PURCHASED A MYRES FLORAL CARVED HOLSTER. AS WITH MANY MYRES HOLSTERS, THEY COME SANS RETENTION STRAPS OR THONGS, RELYING ON FIT, DESIGN AND WORKMANSHIP FOR GUN RETENTION. 1911's FIT OK IN IT, A 1920's COMMERCIAL 30 CAL GERMAN LUGER FITS GOOD IN IT, BUT THE HOLSTER FITS THE HI POWER "LIKE A GLOVE", SO IT MAY BE TIME TO GIVE THE HI POWER SOME CARRY TIME.
WAS LOOKING FOR SOME FANCY GRIPS FOR THE HI POWER ON GUNBROKER AND EBAY AND WAS AMAZED AT THE LACK OF OPTIONS. DO ANY OF YOU KNOW OF A SOURCE FOR SOME NICE HI POWER GRIPS? I REALLY LIKE ELK STAG (GOOD LOOKING AND REASONABLY PRICED) BUT AM OPEN MINDED.

bhspringsolutions.com/ has some nice ones in stock if you don't want to wait. But Spegel does make a great set.

VZ makes both palm swell and slim grip panels for Hi-Powers if G10 is on the table. I have their palm swell panels on a Valor (obviously not a Hi-Power, but shown below for the grip contouring) and it completely changed the feel (in a good way)... If you can't find Stag, VZ might be a good option for you.

THERE WERE SOME GUYS AT THE SAXET GUN SHOWS IN MCALLEN, TEXAS THAT HAD A JEWELRY STORE IN A MEAT MARKET, ANYWAY THEY SELL METAL, MEXICO STYLE, "SILVER" AND "GOLD" PLATED SEMI-AUTO GRIPS. A WHILE BACK I BOUGHT A SET FOR A COLT 1911, AND HAD THEIR BUSINESS CARD, SO I CONTACTED THEM AND THEY SENT ME A PICTURE OF A BUNCH OF HI POWER GRIPS. A COUPLE OF SETS WITH ROUND "GOLD" MEDALLIONS WITH EAGLES ON THEM LOOKED REALLY NICE. THEIR STORE IS CLOSED BUT I AM TRYING TO SET UP A MEET MIDWAY BETWEEN HERE AND THERE. BACK IN THE 70's I COULD HAVE BOUGHT GRIPS LIKE THESE, ACROSS THE RIVER IN MEXICO, IN REAL GOLD AND SILVER, AT REAL GOOD PRICES. YOU KNOW THE STORY: CUD UV, SHUD UV.
THANKS TO ALL FOR THE LEADS.
