This week has been full of sixgun joy as yet another custom build arrived. This one was has been in Andy Horvath's more than capable hands for 2 years, almost to the day. The gun started as an OM .44 magnum flat top. It came back as a full on custom long cylinder .45 Colt. The grip frame is one of the Qualite frames that was made off of John Linebaugh's tree. As far as other details I've included a photo of the letter penned by Andy's hand describing the work he performed. The letter reminds me of Roy.... Speaking of the grips the wood was supplied by Steve one of our Forum members via my "trading buddy" Princeout. I just can't say enough about Andy's work. from his outstanding metal craft to grip making he's the real deal. I'm sure Tim will find something I forgot but I think I got this one right! Getting this gun completes my brass frame quest at least for now. Maybe a linebough in my future if I win the Lottery. Here's a pic of the new gun along with the .41 Special also by Horvath.

And there's another long cylinder beauty.
I don't know what it is about a long cylinder filling up the window, but that is one of the things I like the most about custom SA revolvers.

That’s nearly identical to the next build I’m doing.
That is to say, it’s perfect and exactly what I would choose in all respects down to the top strap modification and hammer work.
My parts list: my grandfather’s 45 Bisley, S&W 25 barrel, max cylinder, Stroh S&W front sight, Bowen target rear, RW brass bisley, marbled walnut grip blanks.
Horvath is the man for this style of build.

Another masterpiece Bushy! Andy does great work for sure and you speced that one just right. That must be the old model we swapped a couple years ago?

Greg, Just beautiful. Certainly worth the wait!
All I can think of that you forgot was that you were supposed to give Andy my address so he could ship it here. The Oklahoma Home for Wayward 45’s.
Enjoy that one!! Tim

That’s a beauty for sure sir, you have excellent taste! May I ask, is that a rechambered and fitted 357 Max or custom cylinder?
