Well Having a Brass OM No.5 grip frame on order with Mr.Wells has got my mind working. I’m looking for ideas on what grip material to go with. Let’s see what y’all got on your brass grip frame Guns.
Ps: All grip frame styles and models welcome, as long as their brass.
Thanks, Jonathan.

Old model 45 John finished recently. Quite awhile ago I had sent him the Powers grip frame, Stroh front sight, Bowen sight and a 45 ACP cylinde along with the Clements hammer years ago. I recently sent him the wood and told him to keep the gun and let his son Isaac learn on it but he surprised me and finished it and shipped it along with the JT/SS tribute gun. My oldest son saw it and decided he wanted it on his heirloom gun list so I gave it to him last month.

I agree that darker woods look good on the brass grip frame, I have the super rosewood by Altamont on mine you can see it in the brass grip frames by Ronnie Wells thread, I forget the page #, but it's the scoped 41 mag blackhawk.

I've got 2 of the Wells brassies in process...one is going on a color cased frame, and will have bonded ivory relief carved grips, the other is going on a blued Bowen project and will wear either cherry burl or giraffe bone.
Pics on the first this summer, and late fall for the second.

Not a Bisley, but brass with walnut. Wood from Steve in Paradise, California. Robb had Zane (I think) work the wood.

My lifelong shyness keeps me from posting photos, but in the interest of helping a fellow shooter I reluctantly post this photo: And here is a Hy Hunter that I fitted with brass grip straps and whittled out a pair of walnut grips: Bob Wright

A Big thank you to everyone who has posted pictures and given suggestions. I spoke with Mr. Wells the other day and he said it should not be to long before the grip frame ships. Never thought I would be this close to having my own spin on the No.5. I will post pictures when it gets here.
Thanks, Jonathan.
