Wandered into my local pawn shop on this rainy day and spotted a dirty S&W Model 10 in the case. Looked it over, it is a ubiquitous, 10-5 .38 special. It had been shot very little, and had several small rust sots on the frame, likely from sitting in a holster for years. It had a price of $ 350.00 on the tag. I offered $250.00, and pointed out the rust, grime, and scratches in the grips. The clerk said sure, why not. So it went home and got cleaned up, and looks great IMHO.

Nice score! 'Wayward' is my favorite kind of S&W.

My first revolver, about 8 years ago, was a 10-5, 4“. That hooked me.

Sold a 4" model 10 last year for $200. It was a little rough.

The 4" tapered barrel mdl. 10 is one of my all-time favorites. You got a great buy!

Congratulations. You found a nice one. If I changed it at all, I'd add a Tyler T grip!

One of my first revolvers was a 6 in. model 10 bought 45 yrs ago. Gave it to my son for his 43 or 44th birthday. Just dropped it in his lap, said happy Birthday, and walked away. My boy is never speechless, he was that day.
