Here is a picture of my Jack Huntington custom Ruger Redhawk. It started out as a 5” gun. It was cut down to 4”, action job, velvet hone finish, jeweled hammer/trigger, and Freedom Arms front sight base; current sites are gold bead with rear “V” express sites. It shoot s great and carries nice in my Simply Rugged holster. The only thing I think I’m missing are set of custom grips but I carry this gun while hunting and don’t want to ruin an expensive set of grips.

One thing I like about Jacks work is he seems to enjoy making custom guns that are one of a kind although the lines are so good with this one I would bet more copy's get made, I love the way The front site seems to flow with the lines of that gun.

I see you are in CO.
If that thing takes up too much space, feel free to drop it off at my place for storage.
I'm in GJ, what parts are you in? I'd love to check out a Ruger like that. I'm mostly a S&W guy.

I agree with the sentiments about Jack's work. He brought a 2nd Model .44 HE back to life for me. The action parts were all there, but someone had managed to break the trigger stud off, so the trigger was floating loose inside. Someone then tried to repair it by welding the stud back on, which burned a hole in the frame. Jack repaired the frame, then relocated the trigger stud. I was told by my local gunsmith that the factory wouldn't touch a gun that was produced by them in 1937, so I ran out of options for repair very quickly. I think my revolver was beyond the abilities of many gunsmiths, but Jack tackled it and did a good job with it.

I'm mostly a S&W guy. I'm in Colorado Springs. I have a Ruger 357max cylinder that I want Jack to rechamber and fit on my Ruger Blackhawk 44 mag. I want to be able to shoot the same ammo in both my Redhawk and Blackhawk. I got this idea from an article I read a few years ago called. Make mine a 44.

Sixgunner, it looks like from your avatar you're Air Force. Combine that with being in The Springs makes me ask if you are at the Academy in some capacity. My oldest graduated in the class of 2008 and he is in Del Rio TX right now in pilot training. His fiancee was in the same class and she is in chopper pilot training in Alabama right now as well.

King, I'm retired last July; I served 24 years, 3 months. I was stationed at Peterson AFB. I figured it was time to call it quits.

Great looking gun. I would like to send mine off for an action job so maybe Jack would be the guy. As far as grips, I like the looks and shape of the factory grips the best but maybe in a different material or darker wood.
