If I remember right the little J frame sights run about 50 to 60 bucks. Any idea what a smith charges to carve one in on a Vaquero or a Bearcat? Average ballpark kind of guess is fine.

The $500 Clements job is for his Pre-War style sight, which is significantly nicer than the S&W sight, and also includes installation of a proper front sight.
