Isn't that the same gun and accessories that sold for $4k or some such number? $5k plus, and no. The other gun was all blue with factory grips. The scales on the knives are different. The screws are indexed differently, so I assume it's not just the same gun that's been CCH with grips made.

Well you got me curious so I had to check. I was hoping John wasn't dealing with a non-paying winner and re-listing. I've never handled giraffe bone, but they look great.

Lots of folks are using the g bone instead of ivory unless you're unlucky enough to live in TX...

It is a different gun. John sent me pictures of 5 of these he has been helping working on. John has been using these last few months as a crash course in revolver work teaching his son Isaac. Isaac is an accomplished riflesmith while John has done the revolver work. With his health leading him to limit his ship time, John has been using those hours he can be in the shop teaching Isaac about the revolver work. One of the 5 guns is one Isaac has built for himself during this learning time. That was one of the great things about sending the octagon long cylinder bisley 44 back home to Jasper. Isaac has not seen an example if his dads work either the long cylinder / octagon combination . John had a few old model guns set back and he has found he can spend precious time with Isaac teaching him how to do these conversions and he is able to sell the guns for a decent price which is vital to his family during this challenging time.
Essee knives, Ashley Emerson and Thad have all been contributing to helping the Gallagher family with these projects. This is in the same vein of Hamilton’s announcement of a fund for Johns family that JT is coordinating and all the help all of you folks have been contributing over the last couple months.

So it appears that his shop and name will continue. That is also something to be proud of I believe. I've never held one of his revolvers but every one I've seen pictures I wish I could own!

Current high bidder is a lady from AK who bought my super sweet .41 Bowen bisley as a surprised gift for her husband. I asked her if she had a sister.... I'd be glad for her to win it.
