Rob
Really like your rig with the chinks. Well thought out and looks like it works well for you. Glad you added your .02. It was worth a nickel. 😀

Anytime I order a holster with a strap and snap I specify a long tail on it like the one you made. (Nice one BTW). I have several original Lawrence 120's and that's how they are. I learned to do that reading Elmer. When I mentioned the "loud" snap I was thinking of a FA chest rig. I would un-snap it when sitting in my tree stand and once bending over out came the gun. Luckily it hit the platform and not the ground. Since then I leave it fastened. Been thinking I'll add a thong to it too.

Hey Rob,
Glad you finally made it. I’ve been wondering when you were going to show up and make your well seasoned and experienced contribution. I like the way you think with that rig. Great setup.

Thanks gentlemen.
Mr Burnston, I think your giving me a little too much credit about being well seasoned and experienced. There are members that deserve that title far more than I do, but I appreciate your comment.
Mr. Clintsfolly, I still can't believe when I bought the SS, the bluing was at 99% Amazing how much holster wear it has gotten since then. I can tell you one thing. I am not having it reblued. My son has already claimed it for when I am done riding/hunting/trapping/woods bumming. He wants it to carry when he is riding/hunting/trapping/woods bumming.

Dan I like that belt holster rig. You done wore all the PRETTY off that holster and sheath. Got them looking good now used and cared for like they were meant to be. A proper rig should include a working knife. Who made the knife?

I agree, used but not abused, that's leather & steel with character right there!

After reading this I tried switching things around today for my ride. Rather than a belt in my jeans, a separate gun belt with slide and a 120 style holster then my chinks I used the gun belt as my pants belt as well and threaded the slide in the left and holster in the strong side with the chinks belted below. The arrangement worked great. I wish my chinks had a through top belt do I could try that belt as the holster belt but in reality today’s arrangement probably is better for me. I have reached the age where there isn’t much behind my hip pockets to keep a gun belt up so being able to cinch down a double duty belt threaded through my pants loops seems to work best . Shoot I have to strap on the chinks right before getting on or they want to migrate to my ankles. Maybe I need a butt “enhancement “ line some folks get!

[Maybe I need a butt enhancement like some folks get!]
I wear a belt and suspenders everyday. The belt holds all my stuff, the suspenders keep everything up off the ankles and prevent Plumbers crack. A most dreaded disease!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've owned El Paso Saddlery, Galco, and Simply Rugged field holsters, but none match the quality of my J.W. O'Rourke holsters. Experimental Askins Avenger style not oiled or sunned.
