IIRC the prices guns sold for at the archive auction were pretty reasonable. Seen a few recently pop up at very high prices, but haven’t seen if they’ve sold.

Many years ago, I knew a Colt factory rep. who had a .22 revolver that he referred to as a Py-Back i.e. a Diamondback .22 barrel mated to a Python frame. Neat trail gun. Should have taken him up on his offer to have one made for me.

A previous boss had a Diamondback in 38 Special that was slicked up at Cylinder & Slide Shop. What a gem. Best 38 I've ever handled, but still not worth $38k!
