JOE S., I HAVE STARTED TO PLAY WITH RED DOTS, THEY ARE NICE BUT I AM NOT SURE THAT THEY ARE BETTER THAN GOOD SCOPES FOR LONGER RANGES, e.g. MAYBE FROM 75 YARDS UP. DO NOT HAVE ENUFF EXPERIENCE TO SAY FOR SURE, BUT FOR NOW THE 2 RED DOTS I HAVE (A FFIII AND AN ULTRADOT GEN 2) ARE ON GUNS I WOULD USE AT 60 YARDS AND IN.

I have used the FF3 on a couple Blackhawks. 100 yards in was no issue for the one it stayed on long enough to test at 100. The screw holding the mount on sheared on the other and it flew off at 50, so it never made it to the 100 yd line. Now that FF3 is on a Single Six 22. 50 yds is no issue with it.
I will use a sturdier mount on the Hunters, which is what i want the red dots for now.
