Here's my .41 Special Andy built. I too used John's with the S&W barrel as a template. The top strap nose treatment is sooo nice. This one has Andy's new caliber markings as well as his name. And here's another that I just took possession of last week. It's a .44 Special Lil' Gun that was done quite some time ago as the "old style" caliber designation indicates. This designation was Andy's signature for a long time. He did the grips too. Super nice...some kind of polymer. The blue on this revolver must be seen to appreciate and the nitre blued screws are a really nice touch. This gun remains unfired after all these years... I need a Clements Hammer to put on it. Anybody have an extra?

One thing Mike and I have discussed regarding the S&W to Ruger top strap transition is that each one appears a little different, hence maybe done by hand? They are each unique, not like CNC plugged in. Has anyone ever had him do a long gun?

Many many years ago I first met Andy and he sent me two guns to try out, a custom .44 Special Three Screw Ruger and a Winchester '92 .44 Special he had made by shortening and re-chambering the .44-40 barrel, I knew then Andy had a great future!!

Back in the 1980s I received a call one evening from Hollywood. They were going to make a movie and they had seen my article on Andy's L'il Guns and they wanted mine to use in the movie. I said absolutely not as I knew what it would look like when I got it back. So I put them in touch with Andy and he wound up making I believe seven guns for what turned out to be one of the worst movies ever made, "Harley Davidson and The Marlborough Man." Both Don Johnson and Mickey Rourke bought guns from Andy and they also had some to use in the movie. Since Andy's guns were in there when it showed up locally I went to see it one afternoon. There were two people in the movie theater me and some young girl. I found out later the girl was a movie reviewer. So I was the only one there who didn't have to be.

I only have two of Andy's gun as of today. the most recent is this model 28 that I sent him along with a rebored model 28 barrel and he turned it into a 41 Special. This is my first gun Andy did and he did his L'il Gun treatment to it. It too is a 41 Special old model blackhawk with a Smith & Wesson ribbed barrel. This gun is now back to its' original configuration with the polished grip frame, rounded heel and perfectly fit Sambar stag grips. It is my most carried gun in the field.

I'd like to see a pic of it in it's original config?
