Been working on this a little bit at a time over the last couple of weeks. It's six foot by six foot, and six foot tall and on six foot stilts. 😁 I told my wife what that I wanted a covered hunting stand for two people. She got on Pinterest and found the plans for this thing. We deviated from the plan a little bit and used two by threes instead of two by four studs to build the wall frames. It still needs plenty of work. But we have about a month to go still until deer season.

Congratulations on the nice bucks. Always good to see a nice lefty rifle too. Any changes that you’ll make to the stand after using it? A nice comfortable stand is a great thing.

I've got some window pane material made from corrugated plastic like you see in those large fluorescent lights in Lowe's/Walmart. I'll close all those large windows completely off when the season ends. For next season, the girls want sliding windows for the sides. I have some carpet I'll put in it too.

The Rut is starting to kick in around here. The first little guy got wacked back in early December before the rut. My wife got onto me because I'd been passing up deer. She wanted one for the freezer. So I took care of that. The one at the bottom was shot this morning. He was on the prowl for the ladies. I have no problem scooping up a couple cull bucks. They taste delicious.

That thing sounds like you're going to turn it into a real condo. Carpet? Next thing you know it'll have a small woodstove to keep you warm and keep the coffee hot! Don't think I haven't considered it before. Maybe even propane burner instead of wood.... Hmm..

Don't think I haven't considered it before. Maybe even propane burner instead of wood.... Hmm.. It's coming along! I'll update the windows in the spring and deep clean the whole interior. It's amazing how much mold can grow in a year on a covered and closed structure. I've been told that a "little buddy" heater is a must in the future in order for some folks in the family to sit the stand on a cold morning. What this stand and locale does not afford me is the opportunity to hunt with a revolver. Gonna have to fix that with another set up / location.

Build a metal shelf to go over the little buddy and angle it towards the bottom of the shelf. Coffee heater! Told you so!😁

Well,, it must be nice to have such level ground,, and ease of access to put a stand like that. I'm in heavily wooded,, mountains. No level places for sure to put stands on my property. But,, I have built,, on site,, a few comfortable deer stands,, (or condos as some call them,) to allow me to take another hunter with me. My granddaughter as the first one to enjoy the enclosed stand. And I had to bring along my Mr. Buddy for her.
As for putting in carpet,,, it's NOT a bad idea. First,, it provides insulation,, PLUS,, it deadens noises made by boots etc. Oh,, we have also used recycled mobile home windows to be able to open & close off stiff winds. And it sure is nice to have a roof to be able to stay dry when it pops up a shower.
Now,, when I hunt other areas,, I still have my very comfortable climbing deer stand,, a Tree Lounge,, with the bow stand adapter & the rifle rail. The bow part,, allows me to stand & stretch when necessary,, and the rifle rail adds a safety level,, as well as a place to hang camo cloth to help hide me.
