lee, cant wait for the nyati to get done so you can get back to this! both projects will be awesome We're not too far off. Build the Nyati, rebarrel my PPC, and I'm on to the 5-shot .414 Martin. BTW, my dad has been shooting his this summer. The results have been good. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Chasing perfection five shots at a time"

I have a 410 GNR (454 necked to .41). It is a super Blackhawk in .41 magnun conversation with 7.5 barrel. The Hornady 210gr. XTP nearly disintegrated in sandy soil at 1800fps. Retained weight 112gr. Have loaded Swift 210gr. Will test fire tommorow.

It is strong. The Swift 210gr. stayed together and penetrated well. Retained weight 170gr. Cast bullets are next. Will only use ones with gas checks.

Rim Rock bullets 230gr. SWCGC, Cast Performance 265gr. WLNGC, Seaco 220 SWCGC. I Pour a good bullet, but don't like to. Have all in stock, but development is stopped for now. Leaving Wed. for WY to go Mule deer and Antelope hunting.

Will be interested in hearing about it...how about starting a new thread over in the reloading section...
I have a 5-shot Reeder 5.5" .41 Magnum with the extra .41 GNR cylinder that I have been thinking about having punched out to .410...would like to see what velocities you are getting...
Reeders favorite bullet for the .410 is the 255 CP...I have shot a lot of them in .41 Magnum and it is a great bullet...1450 fps from a 5.5" with 22.0 grains of H110.

I loaded 31.0 gr. H-110 with WW small pistol magnum primers in starline 454 cases with Hornady and Swift 210gr. bullets. They shot at 1800fps in my 7.5" tube. I will move this to the reloading section when I get home with pictures, I hope. Hope to kill a doe antelope with it after I shoot trophies with single shot.

came back to this thread once again. cant wait!! The Nyati shipped out yesterday for stock fitting. My PCC wears a new barrel. Look for .414 Martin updates in the coming weeks. It may even be a tutorial on 5-shot conversions. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Chasing perfection five shots at a time"

any updates on this lee? I know you have been busy with rifle matches Still haven't gotten around to it. Lately, most of my time has been spent swaging .30-caliber bullets, shooting BR matches, and working with the Bradshaw-Martin SWC. I'm also writing articles for Precision Rifleman every month. But I do hope to build my .414 by year end. The base gun is ready to go and dad's is shooting well. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Chasing perfection five shots at a time"
