I doubt I shoot anything lighter than 235gr in my new 41 ether, at Sixshots urging and generosity of sample bullets and offer of a mold loan if the samples work well, his 250gr WFNPB bullet has great possibilities as well. It will be interesting to see what this gun does for you...

Not sure I can hit 1,900 fps with 185s. Most of these 5-shots give better velocity gains with heavy bullets. In fact, this conversion will probably see nothing lighter than 230 grain Keiths. Most of what I'll shoot will be in the 265 - 295 weight range. -Lee www.singleactions.comBullets that heavy will give great penetration in that caliber.Nice looking bisley Lee, i am going to two tone the .375 atomic project you and i were talking about.Merry Christmas.jim

I'm planning to experiment with mine and the hornady 210 xtp to see how fast I can push it. you can look back on my 5 shot 41 thread to see what I think a 6 shot cylinder can take in .41. Don't worry, I'll work up. My cast plans are for 250 and up tho.

I guess most factory Bisleys are 7 1/2 or 5 1/2. 6 inches looks better than either in my opinion. Looks like the perfect balance for that configuration. Let us know what it does over the chronograph.

Gorgeous sixgun, but not enough meat between the chambers. ;D
As usual, Lee, outstanding handiwork on your part.

Lee I noticed you use PAC NOR Barrels on your guns, what is the difference in those and Douglas Barrels, the smith I use usually uses Douglas, I guess he would use PAC NOR if asked, but what is the difference?

I use Pac Nor because they offer stainless in just about every caliber and cut pistol length blanks. Most of my rifles/benchrest guns get Shilen or Hart, but Pac Nor is also high quality tube. -Lee www.singleactions.com

Forgot to add....Douglas is also excellent barrel blank. Again though, they don't offer shorter lengths in stainless for off-beat pistol calibers (ie, 10mm, 475, 500, etc). -Lee www.singleactions.com

Looks good, Lee. I like the front sight and the blued on stainless is a neat touch. How about .41-40? I like .41-40 also, Lee. Something old, something new!!

Now there's a tough choice. The .41 Martin Magnum has a certain ring to it but the .41 Mag. Express is not bad either. It should be one of these two for sure.
