Just got a new Henry carbine in .327 Federal. What a sweet rifle it is. I like to load my ammo to the higher end, I have no issues with pressure in any of the revolvers I shoot and I am NOT wanting to hot-rod. But I am curious if the Henry is all set to handle top end hand-loads and am interested if anyone has an opinion.
While I am thinking of it, how about other calibers? Ruger-only loads in say 45 Colt ok?

No doubt it would handle 30,000 psi loads in the 45 Colt. At least, the Henry Steel. Keep in mind we're talking about a model of rifle and all may not be the same in any name brand.
Ditto opinions on the Henry Steel 327 Federal. I have the 20" version and love it.

Yes I got the "Big-Boy Steel" and of course its blued. Just a nice little rifle with decent fit and good wood. I am very happy with it.
