Oh I like that. I'm adding that one to the order when I send my plowhandle in for a Bisley conversion!

Just got my .454 back from Magnum Research with their new wide-spur hammer. I like it a lot! Looks like they do listen to their customers...

Max I really like that hammer. Back in the Spring on another thread, I was asking you about the #5 base pin latch that was mentioned. Any timeframe as to when that will be available?

Will the hammer be available to purchase or is it a factory install only?

Looks good! Reminds me of Ruger's 'super' hammer which I actually install on several of my Rugers when n Brownell's gets them in. Great going BFR!

I find the low-set, wide spur hammers to be an unnecessary and meaningless affectation on any heavy S A revolver. Personal preference...

I have never owned a BFR gun so I have to ask, is it normal for the hammer to not fill the slot by the upper ears of the grip frame or at least come close to matching the contours? I'm not trying to be snide, I just have not seen a close up picture of that part of one before so I don't know if that is normal for these guns or not.

I find the low-set, wide spur hammers to be an unnecessary and meaningless affectation on any heavy S A revolver. Personal preference... I find them more than useful for fast follow-up shooting, but I use them for hunting so it’s not an aesthetic issue for me. Anything to aid with speed.

Is the "New" BFR Wide-Spur Hammer any different than the old BFR Wide-Spur Hammer? Anyhow I like it much better than the new standard hammer.

That’s nice, if they will sell them as parts, I might have to try one.
