Does the rod eject the spend brass far enough that they fall out, or do you still have to pluck them out with you fingers ?

Im wondering if I should get the short stroke,,,, or if there is any cons to getting the short stroke rather than the standard one . .

I was at the Sportsman's Warehouse checking them out. Had a 3.5" with an flattop. The competition, which I believe is what you are referring to as a short stroke felt real nice in the hand. More over, the hammer pull feel completely different from the standard. After holding them both, I don't plan to purchase anything but the competition.
Cabela's list the 3.5" at 32 oz for the 45Colt and 32.3 oz for the .357.

The Competition isnt the short stroke.... The competition is just the "low angle hammer"
The short stroke has "20% less hammer Travel"
.
Maybe Ill get the short stroke option.....Im wondering if there are any negatives to the short stroke hammer.
Sounds like from the spec info that it requires a different main spring....
"....custom-grade mainspring encased in the checkered grip ensures smooth operation and a crisp trigger pull."
