BLACK MICARTA GRIPS BY ABLE GRIPS OUT OF NEW MEXICO....BACK IN 1990....I SURE LIKE THESE BOWEN NIMRODS.....THEY HAVE A NICE WEIGHT AND BALANCE TO 'EM.... ;D

Can you get a closer one of the bearing block "pin"? I'm not used to seeing one that looks like these two that you have. The 445 appeared to have the same setup. I thought that Bowen usually used a screw on the frame that bears against the block. How do these differ? Thanks.

Wait a minute, I may have missed an important thing there. I was assuming that the 1990 date was for the stocks, was that the gun also. Thanks.

HARD FOR ME TO GET A GOOD CLOSE UP SHOT....IT LOOKS LIKE A ALLEN HEAD BOLT.....THE GRIPS ARE MARKED 1990.....NOT SURE WHEN THE GUN WAS BUILT....I WAS SUPPOSE TO RECEIVE LITERATURE WITH BOTH THE BOWEN AND LINEBAUGH GUNS....I DID NOT AS OF YET....I'LL CALL ON MONDAY....I AM ALWAYS INTERESTED IN THE GUNS HISTORY.....MY OTHER BOWENS ALL HAVE THE SAME LOOKNG ALLEN HEAD BOLT BLOCK....

Just wondering...[/quote YES...YOU ARE CORRECT.....I THINK THEY HAD 5 NICE SINGLE ACTIONS IN THE AUCTION....1 TLA....2 BOWEN GUNS....2 LINEBAUGH GUNS.....I BID ON THREE...WON 2.... ;D THE OTHER BIG 45 LINEBAUGH GUN WAS THE ONE I POSTED IN THE OTHER CLASSIFIEDS....IT SOLD AT THE AUCTION FOR $862....AND IS A $2000 + BUILD REVOLVER....WHOEVER BOUGHT IT SOLD IT A FEW DAYS LATER AFTER THE AUCTION ON GUNBROKER FOR $1149....

So if I remember this Linebaugh went for $1900 plus the auction fee right? Seemed to be a pretty fair deal, my uncle was on the phone incase no one was paying attention and he could steel the gun. Seemed a few guns went pretty cheap that day, normally they seem to bring at least fair market or much more at that auction. He grabbed a pre-18 22cal Combat Masterpiece for a pretty fair price, especially looking at what people think theirs is worth on Gunbroker since then...

I WAS LUCKY TO GRAB THESE TWO.....BIDS WENT RIGHT UP CLOSE TO MY MAXIMUM BID.....I FIGURED THE LINEBAUGH IS ABOUT A $3000 GUN....AT CURRENT REPLACEMENT COST.....OF COURSE...I WAS HOPING TO STEAL IT WITH A LOW BID.... ;D... ;D... ....I HAVE BOUGHT A FEW GUNS FROM THIS AUCTION HOUSE....THEY HANDLE QUALITY GUNS.....MY EL DORADO ARMS 22 LR ALSO CAME FROM THEM A FEW YEARS AGO..... ;D

Very nice. I really like the looks of Bowen's Nimrods. They look very 'user friendly'.
