Enjoy!
A nearby dealer had two C. Sharps rifles in stock, some years back. I bought neither of them, but they prompted quite of bit of “homework” on my part, and planted the seed, on my long-term to-do list, for a traditional-design single-shot rifle.

I ordered my very first 1874, a Shiloh Hartford through Bill and got it in about 4 months. He was very helpful and patient with all my calls for changes and guided me through. I have also bought 3 used Shilohs from him and they were all perfect. I had no hesitation buying this one from him!

I got into the BPCR thing about 20 years ago after reading Mike Venturino and Steve Garbe. My wife bought my first for me. I was stuck on a CSharps 1885 and can't say I made a bad decision. After owning 3 different types of BPCR's, I still haven't owned a 1874. I've had a couple Shiloh's here from others to tune BP loads for, but not one for me yet.
Yours is a beauty!
