One of my sons pilot buddies contacted me about an old Remington model 1900 he inherited and he wants cleaned up, checked out and repaired if needed. Shotguns are as far from my wheelhouse as the east is from the west but I thought some of you guys might haves done recommendations for a smith to check the gun out for him.

Some of the 1900’s are Damascus so BP or BP level loads should be used only. If it is a CM barrel and chambers are fineand lock up is fine and tight then next is check chamber length and verify, then use of normal loads like 2.5dram to 3 dram should be fine. I have an old 1900 I’m restoring for myself right now.
