hmm. is it a 500 Magnum (500 Linebaugh) or a 500 JRH? I'm betting it is a .512" gun. As we say on the Old Woodworking Machines forum, "Don't believe the description, even if they are holding it their hands while you talk to them". It's marked 500 Magnum. My old Bowen 500 Magnum was a .512 Linebaugh. Kinda had a short chamber, but it was still a Linebaugh. Bobby Tyler has one on GunBroker right now, a JRH gun, marked 500 Magnum. He described it as having been rechambered from 500 JRH to 500 Linebaugh but Max P pointed out that Huntington never called his JRH anything but that, a 500 JRH. He, like Bowen, apparently started off calling the .512 by the name 500 Magnum before it became standardized as the 500 Linebaugh. Either way, it would be a nice gun at that price. Tim

Tim Ya, my 500L by Gallagher is marked 500 Magnum as well. After all, the 500L is the original 500 Magnum right!? Also, the ad says it's a 1995 gun. Wasn't it the 2000's when JRH came out with the 500 JRH?

Magman you gonna rebarrel it or keep as is? That has to be the least amount paid for a half inch custom, good job.

Good snag. I like the Super hammer on the Bisley frame, at least in profile. Best of all worlds for shooting big-bores.

Gonna keep it. Lose the hideous grips for some nice walnut. If you are serious about losing the grips I might can help them go away. Robb
