It’s not a .500 JRH that was converted to .500 Linebaugh. Much like Hamilton Bowen, Jack didn’t call it a .500 Linebaugh in the early days, but a .500 Mag. From the listing: "It has been rechambered and rebarreled from a JRH 500mag to a .500 Linebaugh."I know, but it’s wrong. I think they are assuming it was a .500 JRH, as he never referred to the .500 JRH as anything other than .500 JRH. This is from Huntington’s early days and that is how he marked his early .500 Linebaughs. I believe that revolver pre-dates the .500 JRH by some time.

Same with the JRH gun on Gunauction. Marked 500 magnum. www.gunauction.com/buy/16034544Now to make things clear as mud David Clements marked his shortened 500 S&W guns .500 magnum too... I'm sure about this as I owned one...same as a 500 JRH.
