I think it's wishful thinking on the sellers part. I never understood the added value of consecutive serial numbers other than its cool. It may have value to a collector but I don't see it in modern firearms.

I've got consecutive serials on my Ruger 45 Colt Montados, that used to be used exclusively for CAS... I think it's cool, but then, I didn't pay any extra for them... but I did make the gun dealer jump through some hoops, when I put them on layaway, as consecutively serialed & someone else had one on layaway, & paid theirs off 1st, & someone at the shop pulled one of mine to give to the other guy... I made them get the other gun back, & redo the selling paperwork, so I could maintain the consecutive serials as they were when I put them on layaway... I expect they will be marginally worth more when I eventually sell them... but I've done some customizing, & changed out the grip frames & had Zane make some custom grips for them ( my guns are very early models, when they made the grip frames grooved for increased grip, but Ruger found out those grooved grip frames were not SAS legal ) mine now wear brass Lightning style grips, that are SAS legal, & I still have the original grip frames & black plastic grips, if someone wanted them back to original...
I don't actually think those listed are "hugely" overpriced, since they both have 2 cylinders, but they are asking more for the consecutive premium, than I personally feel that feature is worth, since it didn't likely cost the seller any extra ( at least it didn't me, on my pair of Montados )

Blackbirds bring $~1000 while the Whitebirds bring $~1400, only because of the very limited production. You don’t see these offered up very often. The consecutive SN’s kinda cool especially in these limited guns, what that’s worth?,,, to each his own. I would like to buy them but then would have to try and hunt down 2 Bisley Hammers. Now that the 327 is out, it took care of the itch for another.

I have 3 consecutively numbered stainless Bearcats for me and my boys, while the cool factor in 3 of them is pretty high, I see no extra value.
