Another great day at the range. Love shooting this gun! A bit snappy at the top end loads but so comfortable with ww 231.

Very Nice! That looks like a hand full of FUN. Do you hunt with it or just punch paper.?

Oh absolutely it's a hunter. Made its debut in the deer woods last November. I am a handgun Hunter. A pistol is all I take to the woods these days.

I mostly bow hunt here in Ohio and gun hunt when the time allows. I took a doe last December with a Ruger Bisley 7.5" 44 magnum.

Looks like you left a little blood on the target! That 500 makes you earn it! Lol

I really enjoy my JRH 500's. Just a great round and the BFR is a great gun.

Nice ! If I might ask. Why is the sight/optic turned around that way? There is more that I don't know than what I do about these electronic sights.

That’s a Reeder base and I assume it’s using the two D&T holes in the BFR topstrap.

Nice shooting. What bullet? I tried 10 grains of WW231 behind the Lee C501-440. It seems dirty but accurate. When my BFR gets back from Magnum Research, I want to spend a little more time with WW231 loads but I am not sure where the limit is with WW231.

Yep a little blood. It will get ya but no pain no gain.
I really like the 440 grain cast above 10 grains of 231. The sight is Trijicon on the Reeder mount. Has worked well.
