There has been a few threads started around the net about the new Diablo howdah pistols. I think they look great. I can't wait to get my hands on mine! Yes these are Black Powder Muzzleloaders and completely legal. americanguncraft.com/products/I have a Pedersoli howdah 20 gauge, but it is just too big to carry. So I am sure glad to see this little 12 guage being offered. This little 6" Diablo is going to be very portable and usable. I see their magnet attachment going on my boat and another mounted in the side-by-side for sure! This thing should destroy a Rattle Snake! Might even get a grouse near the trail with some #4buck. Sure will be interesting to fire a 70cal roundball over the chronograph...This may even qualify as a point-blank hog stomper! Many of you know me, and that I make holsters for a living. So my question for you guys is.. What style of a holster would you like to see available for the Diablo? I think this will be a tidy little package for your hip. They are small enough that a shoulder or chest holster should also work well. The Diablo does come with a little ramrod, so whatever I do, I will be integrating a way to carry the ramrod and a couple 209primers right on the holster. Please share your thoughts on this with me. (And please, if you are not interested in the Diablo'...Please don't litter my thread with negativity.) Thanks guys. Wes

Went to the website... assume they are all rifled barrels... still looks like the BATF would not be happy with the smaller ones... not sure about a double barrel slug handgun... palm says ouch Whooops... this one says smooth bore... equals tax stamp at best... americanguncraft.com/product/diablo-12-gauge-pistol-nickel-with-black-or-rosewood-finish-grips-available-soon-place-your-backorder-now/"no license or FFL required order direct... California Legal"... Checking calendar to see if I missed a month, & it's April Fools??? ah... finally found the words Muzzle loader... 1st picture with the break action, sure is misleading... I still want one even as a muzzleloader holster... hmmm... maybe a cross draw??? yep... that'll do... my 45 Colt Strong side, & Diablo in a cross draw... maybe a necessities pouch for a couple tubes of pre measured powder a couple balls of aluminum foil filled with shot & a leather flap punched to hold a couple 209's

If I were you I'd be a badass and just carry it in my hand all the time.

Hmmm , looks fun. Not sure my hand could take the recoil. I think a crossdraw would work, it’s reachable with either hand. Outta be a good snake roller for sure Wes.

Interesting. Out of curiosity what is your intended use for this? I can see a number of potential applications- not the least of which is 'Howdah Pistol.'

HaHa For me personally, it will be for " Basking in the Joy's of having yet another New Toy" !! lol I can envision Elk horn grips and forend on the little beast. The website says they only weigh 1.6lb, less than 26oz!?,, That's 329PD lite! I don't know how they could be that lite.

I can't believe that I've not tried the Aluminium foil shot balls... great idea! I'll bet the 209 primers would blow threw a lot of paper or foil too. Making civil war, paper cartridges, quite handy.

Am guessing the gun breaks so the 209 primers can be put in, no outside locks. Am thinking you need two and a red silk sash to tuck them into. Pirate style ? Get 4 and mount with hooks to hang from a bandoleer type set-up. Shop for teeth friendly knife.. I also like the tin foil shot balls. NEAT.

There is a "cool factor" going on here, and a lb of FFG in the basement..and some fake BP that just stinks.

Pretty cool. Definitely twin cross draw sashes of some sort with suitable knife accompaniment.
Let us know how it shoots!

Wes [img src="http://castboolits.gunloads.com/attachment.php? attachmentid=236368&d=1550604915"] I to am looking to place my order for one of the Diablo shotguns. have you owned one of their other shotguns before? This will be my first. Great deal with the current coupon their offering. if you do come up with a holster please let me know as I will be interested in having some way to carry this little beast.

Don't see anything about safety... What do they use? Can the barrel selector be activated with the thumb when cocking?

...saw these...looks like they are fairly well made and "interesting". Mackay Sagebrush definitely needs one for all the snakes he attracts....
I would vote for a Tanker style holster as while the gun is fairly small it is WIDE....
