That's Clements bead blast, it pretty durable. A Scotch pad and some elbow grease will make it as shiny as you like.

I'm a little late finding this but was searching through here tonight and came across this.
This is my gun I had posted. I still have it and decided to keep it. Mostly cause I didn't get any hits on it. Just got it back out last week and started to do some more load development with it. It's a great little gun. shoots better than I can
The finish isn't the bead blast finish. I think the lighting outside made it look more matte than it is. It's a brushed finish with scotchbrite. David even sent some of the scotchbrite he used so I could touch up scratches
