I had been wanting a 32 cal Bearcat for some time, so I jumped at the chance when I heard David Clements was going to be offering this conversion. Last January I sent him this Bearcat Shopkeeper... And I just got it back after he converted it to 32 H&R Magnum. I'm really happy with it! It now wears an octagon barrel, dovetailed front sight, and his S&W pre-war adjustable sight. Action feels great. It's awesome, and beat my expectations so far. Range report to follow. The holster is by Doc Barranti, his Myres Barton's Special. Doc finished it this summer, and it's equally impressive! Next up are some grips by Zane...currently in the works! Boy guns & leather Don't get much prettier than that!😉

I'm really thankful that I started my Clements journey with the Bearcat.
I'm not sure how many of these builds were 32 Magnum and how many were 327 Federal.
But, they won't be common items for sure...

I believe that David implied that mine was the only one of the group that was chambered for 32 H&R rather than 327. Having a 3.75" Single Seven, I suspected that I was going to end up shooting the H&R almost every time in this smaller frame with a 3" barrel. Will try to get it shooting tomorrow and get a feel for it.

That's gorgeous. I would have gone with the 32 HRM, too. You can load that little round pretty hot and then load it down to bunny fart loads for tin cans and paper punching. IME, the HRM is better suited to light loads and is easier to get low extreme spreads.
Besides, my Single 7 is all the 327 Fed a guy could ask for in a compact package and still remain "reasonable," LOL.... not that having crazy cool, uber powerful, super compact guns is a baaaaad thing.... hehehehe.

Both mine are .327 just because... but like my 500 Linebaugh’s, I have little interest in testing the outer limits. Heavy and slow. I’ll be using these for what will essentially be reloadable .22 mags but hope to slow it way down to something well-below subsonic

The 327 Federal made sense for me as well. It can be loaded hot or mild too. Any load for the 32 Magnum can be loaded in 327 Federal brass.
Not to mention, the 32 Magnum can be fired in 327 Federal chambers. This effectively doubled my ammo choices.
I bought 1000 of the Rim Rock LBT Style SWC 125 grain bullets that fit the confines of the little cylinder just fine.
Should provide plenty of smack from this little package.

This is why I had David do 2 front blades for me. He said the POI varied widely with the load. I guess these little powerhouses can get snappy!

I'm glad you guys guns are getting done & shipped... hoping that means my 10mm Rimmed GP-100 is on track, once the barrel comes back from the borer I've never actually held or fired a Bearcat... guessing a 327 in that small package is like pulling the trigger on a hand grenade

This thread is full of regret. Yes. Procrastination has its costs. Sometimes tomorrow never comes. Congratulations to those that acted!

Great day...got the Bearcat dirty! Only rounds on hand were factory Black Hills 32 H&R 85 grain JHP, and a few of their 90 gr FPL cowboy loads. Both shot extremely well to POA at 7 and 15 yrds. And a real pleasure to shoot. The new sight picture, with that squared off dovetail up front, and the Clements pre-war rear, allows for such improved precision for me. A greatly improved trigger helps too. What a handy little package! It's been on my hip, or in my vest pocket, for three days now. The little shopkeeper is about perfect for walking the dog or jumping in the truck. Waiting on my .312 sizing die...then will have a lot of experimenting to do with the cast bullets from the Miha molds I've been gathering. Here's the new Bearcat today next to it's larger brother, the Single Seven.

So glad to hear good things. I have my tiny stag grips and holster waiting.
I just doubt we will hear anything negative.
Ready to see mine and head the Single Seven east. It'll be a gem too, no doubt.
