Since I bought the Model 53 .32-20 I think I need a pistol in that caliber too. Is the Cimarron Model P Jr in this caliber a full size gun? The pics look like it and the weight seemed to suggest it but the "Jr" has me thrown off.

It's the size of a Single Six and I highly recommend them.

Can the H&R cylinder be run out to .327 Federal? I wouldn't recommend it. The gun is basically a small Peacemaker and subject to the same limitations. I have the P Jr in 32-20, 38 Special and 22 LR/Mag. The last two listed are the Flattop Target Models and have adjustable sights. I just can't say enough good about them. Just don't try to Magnumize them.

I have one of these. The fit and finish is outstanding. Unfortunately the 32-20 throats take a .316 plug gauge and the 32 H&R takes a .317. I have tried a couple different 32-20 loads using .314 bullets and the results were less than spectacular. Currently looking for some larger cast bullets. Have not played with it too much and have not tried the H&R cylinder.

Can't speak with any first hand experience regarding the Jr., but I bought a Uberti Cattleman back in November. They were, and still are on sale at DGW. Mine is a 4-clicker model with the little pivoting hammer block, which I love.
I had a pair of Colt grips laying around that I put on it and they fit "good enough". Very well fitted and finished and holy cow what a shooter!

My P Jr has tight .313" throats and shoots nickel size groups.

Ahhh...forgot to mention. My revolvers throats are .312"- .313". It shoots .313" and .314" bullets well.

thanks to a forum member I have a model P jr. in .38 special and it's a dandy little sixgun. haven't shot it on paper all that much but with store bought Remington 160 grain round nose loads I can regularly hit a milk jug size rock at around 90 yards off hand.

Thanks guys. Good price on the Uberti. I am looking at a used Cimarron and if I can get it for the right price will go with it and if not the Uberti will be it they really are the same gun, as far as I know. Cimarron is just the importer, it is still a uberti I have the target models in 38 special and 22 lr...both are excellent.

The 38 Special is my favorite of the three. The long cylinder (for the 32-20) makes long bullets easy to load.
Accuracy is superb and it's easy to carry.
