That looks like it will sell! I picked up one of the DAO models a while back and it quickly became my .357 packin' pistol of choice. I'm thinking about selling my WC GP100 since I shoot the Kimber more.

I tried the K6 DAO but it didnt point as natural for me as my LCR. I like the way they look though!

I handled one at Sportsmans Warehouse a few weeks ago. My go-to summer carry gun is a S&W 60 3" so I used that as a comparison The quality was good, as was the trigger in SA & DA. The DA trigger was better than a stock J-frame. I also liked the sights. The rear was windage adjustable and the three dots were bright and contrasting. The cylinder latch was intuitive and the cylinder locked up tight. If I were to purchase one I would replace the grips. They were a little wide and blocky in the rear. Overall it is a handsome little revolver, but Kimber could have made it a little narrower with a five-shot cylinder instead of the six-shot.

I agree about the factory grips, I replaced mine quickly:

Nice comfortable looking grips AK454...I see Altamont offers some nice looking grips for these guns. The factory grips do appear to be made by that company as well.

Mine came with the rubber grips and I switched them out to the Altamonts as pictured below. I like the grip except it is too narrow at the top and much of the thrust of the recoil of 357s are felt in the web of the hand. For me, the grip is too narrow at the top of the gripframe. Gun is a dandy and carries easy and shoots well. Do like having six on board. I use the Colt DS speedloader for the K6s and it works fine.

I got a chance to exam and dry fire the new Kimber dasa at SHOT Show this year. An excellent revolver and I expect to pick one up in the 3 inch variant. The only thing I don't like are the grips. That's easy enough to remedy.

mlazarus5388, let me know what you go to on the K6s. I've tried two Altamonts, the rubber OEM, and the Hogue Bantam and they are all too small for Magnum rounds. I find the Hogue grip on the Colt Cobra is a perfect fit for my hand. I understand that the VZ grip is small also. Hogue tells me they are working on a Rubber Grip for the K6, I hope so.

Ezekiel, I went with the Altamont for 3 inch, which my father now has. For my 2 inch, carry, I use the stock rubber grips and find them pleasant for magnum rounds.

I bought the DC model several months ago. It came with G10’s, which were way too slick for my old, arthritic hands. Went to the rubber jobs from Kimber, and while they WORK best, I just felt this fantastic little revolver should have wood. Ordered the longer wood from Kimber, that I assume were made by Altamont. They are beautiful, and pretty easy to hang onto. The build quality on the K6s seems to be superb, and I can’t believe how thin they made it, but the absolute HIGH point of this revolver is the fabulous trigger, straight from the box. Got a great holster from Matt Whitefield, and I am good to go! Skip
