Having recently purchased a Marlin 1894 chambered in 44 mag, I find myself wanting a rifle in 357 mag now. The thing is, I like variety in my modest collection. Other than another Marlin, which I am entirely happy with, would you recommend another 357 rifle? I've looked at one IMI Timber Wolf, kind of spendy, and kind of "funny looking", no other way to describe it. Your valued opinions are welcome here. What do you think of the EMF rifles? Would a Puma or EMF (is there a difference) be the better deal? Or, would sticking with a tried and true Marlin be my best bet. The Marlin I recently bought was an older, pre safety model. I'd most likely go the same route with the 357 if I could find one. I appreciate your input. Also, your thoughts on Beretta "Gold Rush" rifles?

The only .357 rifles I have shot were Rossi's and both shot, handled and functioned very well, especially for the price.

I would get a model 92 ie Rossi and have Steve Young slick it up, add a XS set of sights and steel mag follower. The slicked up Rossi would be less than the stock Chiappa version of the same thing. Chiappa wants twice what BrazTech charges. They may have better wood, fit and finish but I would rather have the less expensive gun worked over by Steve Young for the same price.
