looks like Remington came out with a new bolt action handgun. while i personally would prefer something more traditional looking i must admit it looks like it would be a lot of fun to shoot. www.remington.com/handguns/700-cp***** Ninja doctrine may require the ventilated barrel shroud to prevent leg-burn in Creedmoor.... as Mighty Nimrod strokes bolt rapid fire at a whitetail galloping yon ridge. Shudders, Creedmoor----to shoot from your back and reach over your chest to reload----may not align with ninja doctrine. The 10-round magazine fits doctrine, insofar as the next 9-shots are more important than the FIRST. Ventilated barrel shroud shields 10-gallon Stetson Rest from cigar burns. The rear grip eliminates trigger-to-sear linkage, a plus.... The rear grip allows for a box magazine.... A rear grip recoils straight back, a negative for full house .308’s in a bolt pistol. A center grip confines the bolt gun to one shot, while directing more of the recoil upward, away from wrist and elbow. Who will be the first ninja to mount a high dollar, over-magnified, pinched eye-relief scope on the 700 CP in .308 Win, and collect a Weatherby Eyebrow? David Bradshaw

Rey, you are far too kind. Remington had the greatest of single shot pistols in the Custom Shop XP-100, at least in my mind, then not being able to stand the sight of perfection, dropped it.

KEN: KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN, XP's COULD BE PRETTY AND FUNCTIONAL, AND WERE USUALLY DEADLY ACCURATE FOR HUNTING.
