Don't think so Bill.... I understand that such things do not like 454/475/500 level recoil.... That considered there is a Bisley 414 short in work in Jasper..... And I do need a custom Bisley 32... I am thinking something like Chuck's 8 shot 327 but in Blue...

Axe,
I considered those went they were for sale but have had lousy luck with the fit of Ajax grips with them beiing undersize. With the variations in Bisley grip frames compounding the risk I passed. Have you tried them on one of your Bisley's? They are darn pretty that is for sure.

Have not tried them yet. I have some blue guns that I will stick them on and post some detailed pics ASAP.... Based on Cary C always asking me to send him grip frames for Bisley grips I had some reservations too... But the price killed me!

Based on Cary C always asking me to send him grip frames for Bisley grips I had some reservations too... But the price killed me! You might luck out if you put them on a blued gun. The stainless frames are slightly larger. I've posted pics before showing a pair of stock Ruger Bisley grips that fit fairly well on a blued frame but had very bad gaps all around the top area on a stainless frame. I hope you get lucky, it's a real pretty set. I'm a fan of the "smooth with less bark" Sambar Stag grips.

Those are nice. Curious though. Why the slight size difference between blue and SS Bisley frames? Has Ruger ever given a reason?

I haven't a clue... Just as a blind guess, since the XR-3s and XR3-Reds aren't noted for the same level of variation, I'd think that the extra size and/or shape provides a complication in the casting process... FWIW While the stainless Bisley grip frame has a reputation for being larger ALL the Bisley grip frames have a reputation for being inconsistent...
