I was thinking about buying some in ear hearing protection . The electronic muffs wearing while hunting really give me a headach from squeezing my head. I was thinking about the walker digital ear buds or the axil ghost strike 1s maybe the ghost strike 2s. Has any one had and dealling with any of these . that way i can protect my hearing wihout having migrane while hunting. How good does any of these in ear ear buds work on enhancing your hearing ? How clear is the sound and is there much wind noise like the muffs have. which one would be better ?

Amen to all of the above and I'll add, how weather proof ? Here hunting is rain/sleet/snow/sleet/more crud or your designation. E-muffs just die by the pair.. In the ear, under your hat or hood has got to be a better option.

I have the Walker Silencer ear plugs and the Walker Razor-X ear plugs. I greatly prefer the Razor-X plugs. The Silencer ear plugs have terrible sound quality. Also, they don't muffle gunshots enough for me. The Razor ears plugs have pretty good sound quality and muffle shots pretty well. My only complaint with the Razor-X is the rechargeable batteries last for only four hours before needing recharging. I don't know about how either one would handle wet weather.

I second the RazorX.
