I got a chance to take a nice 8 point with my very first centerfire rifle opening morning. The gun is a Marlin in .35 Remington that I was given for Christmas in 1976. A lot of meat has hit the ground due to that little rifle. Both of my sons killed their first deer with it. Not much recoil and the 200 grain round nose leaves a fine blood trail.  |
