Didn't know where to put this......at the local gun show in Jackson this weekend a vendor was touting large pistol primers for near $120M or $14.00C for individual hundred pack.
I know there has been lots of hoarding and some shortages since the election. Anyone seeing any letup yet?

I put my name on a list today for 1000 small pistol. He should have some next week and the last batch he had went for $37.90/1000. Not cheap, but at least fair in today's market.

If I could get $14 per hundred, I'd sell all my primers tomorrow and only shoot my muzzle loaders and bow for a year.

Check Dillon Precision. They have some in stock (did a few days ago) I called and ordered 5,000 primers from them.

They seem to be hard to come by right now, the manufacturers are blaming this war we happen ot be in the middle of, but I think they just aren't making them to drive the price up.

I just paid $250 for 5000 large magnum pistol CCI. Expensive, but I was glad to get them. -Lee www.singleactions.com

They are expensive. I didn't like paying it, but I was down to my last 4,000 large pistol (which is only a half year worth of shooting). -Lee www.singleactions.com

Fortunately, no hoarding up here at all. Just bought a few thousand WLP's and CCI-350's for $26/1000. Maybe I need to haul some south with me this summer when I move back to Texas....

$20.00 per 1000 here for wlp... ( i was annoyed when it went to $14.00 a 1000 some time back...) lots of primers and powder available to me ... but since i only load 45 colt maybe i'm not seeing the price increases like the rest of you...

Primers, bullets, loaded ammo, are all back ordered. I haven't checked brass yet. I just bought a 1911 and most advised running at least 500 rounds through it to break it in. I looked for WWB 230 gr at all the local retailers, what a joke. The only thing I found was Federal 230 gr Match at $39.95 for a box of 50 rounds. Cabela's was backordered 2-3 weeks for the WWB at half the price of the Federal I found in the retail store, but at least they were taking orders. I can wait 2-3 weeks to save that kind of money. The Springfield Milspec has to go back to the factory anyway with a 8 pound trigger pull. I guess it was a Springfield Outofspec!

I ordered WLP, SMP and Large Rifle for $29.99/1000. They are on backorder but at least I have a few locked in at this price once they arrive. I just ordered brass for my .45 Colt from Starline. Should be available mid-June. Powder Valley has good prices on powder and primers (when in stock).
.22 ammo is hard to come by locally. I found a Wal-Mart that has a few 550 round boxes. I may make the trek over there to pick up a couple of boxes.

22 ammo has totally dried-up around here. I'm down to my last 1000, so I may have to order online. -Lee www.singleactions.com
