Had some .41spl brass empty so I loaded 215gr TCBB over 5gr Universal to replace the mild loads my grand boys shot this weekend. Also loaded some .44spls 240gr Nosler JHPs over 15gr 2400 as the last ones on 17gr were a little hotter than I wanted. i loaded some swaged Hornady 240gr SWCHPs over 6.6 of Unique, hope they don't lead........

Loaded up (45) 44 mag cartridges with 265 Hornady Interlocks and some 240 gr Ranier hollow points to try in my Marlin 94 and Ruger #1.
I have some Accurate No. 9 powder I need to use up so this is where I’ll use it, if they shoot good.

Loading 44 Special this afternoon. MP 432-640 HP in both GC and PB. These will be for my new Bisley Flattop SS 4 5/8". 9, 9.5, and 10 grains of HS6 all shoot about the same so I split the difference and load 9.5.
I'm shooting these at 50 yards with irons and they will group at about 4". As age creeps up, eyesight goes down so who knows how accurate the revolver is. A fuzzy front doesn't help groups too much.
A Bowen Rough Contry rear has been on order before I picked the revolver up a month ago. The front sight has also been changed as it was hitting too high. I needed to get the height right before I order one from Fermin and I'll go with a thinner blade. That should about do it for this one with the exception of some fitted grips maybe. I put a set a Texas Grips in Holly on it already and may just call it good.

Loaded some 38 Specials today. 358155s over 3.0 grains of Bullseye as I have been informed by my wife that she wants to learn how to shoot a handgun. I have a 3" Kimber k6 DA/SA I am going to give her to see if she likes it. 24ozs, great sights, great trigger and the same size as a 3" J frame, and a six shot. Hopefully she will pick it up, and I will keep it stoked with loads that she can handle.

300 WM I feel like I have a wildcat now after comparing the new brass loads to the once fired reloads. I loaded the first group at SAAMI length with factory Hornady brass. That is represented on the right. The left is a once fired case with the shoulder bumped back .002 and the bullet seated to .010 off the lands. The shoulder moved forward significantly on the once fired case. Off to the range with the second round to see how they perform once the rain stops. I also ordered a Larry Willis die to resize the bulge in front of the belt. We'll see how that works once it arrives.
