I feel very lucky and fortunate for the hunting season I have had so far. I have seen 42 deers and killed 4. I have lets several small bucks walk. But I killed 2 nice bucks and 2 does. I have put in a lot of time and it has paid off. November 9th I will always remember, because I killed both the bucks on that day, with a Muzzle Loader.
The first was and 10 Pointer chasing 2 does in the morning. I shot him at about 25 yards.
The second was a 8 Pointer that came to a Primos Can that same afternoon. I shot him at about 40 yards.
Both bucks were killed on private land, from the same stand. There were no fences, food plots, or bait involved in any way.
I have 1 more buck tag and am going this afternoon with high hopes. But if I don't even see a deer, that's okay. I have had the best season of my life so far.This is the last day of rifle season here in Virginia.

Oh yea, one more tid bit. Both bucks were within walking distance of my house. About 500 yards.
