Why, heck I don't know......? I've been looking for a copy of the April '29 American Rifleman for a while now. I finally ran across one for a reasonable price. The cover has come loose but the rest of the volume is in quite good condition. Now, I've read this article over and over and I can tell you....there is nothing like opening an "old smelling" magazine from almost 90 years ago and reading what Elmer had to say. I'm serious....was almost like transporting to another time when I first opened it....hairs up and all....

A local library has the old American Rifleman issues hardbound on the shelves. I've gone and read EMK's articles in the original print too.

Nice find! I picked up my copy and a few others with EK sixgun articles up at the old Highwood book shop in Traverse City MI 25 years ago. Great little shop that specialized in old gun magazines. I miss that store

That's awesome ! Things were quite different back then . The country still had some bark on it. Things meant more to people ! Imagine, a time Before electronics were invented. Wow !
