I just bought one and boy does it fit my hand good! I like the glock 19 but it never did feel right in my hand. I have small hands like everything else.Lol I usually carry a glock 43 24-7 and really like that gun. Does anyone own a Smith like this and how do you like it?

Bought one for my daughter & it's a fine gun, fits her hands & she shoots it just fine. Well worth the money from Buds Gunshop, no sales tax & free shipping.

From everything I've seen the M&P Compact is a fine pistol. I went with the XD9 Sub Compact for us. As I don't like external safeties that have to be remembered. And I like the grip safety. At the time when I went to XDs , the only M&P Compact s I could find had thumb safeties. The full size M&Ps I've had were all 100% in every way.

I have only handled the M&P 2.0 pistols; have yet to shoot one, but was impressed with the trigger, fit, finish, and how well they fit in my hand.

I found a place that had them for $369 plus $10 shipping if anyone is interested. They don't charge for using credit or debit cards. The shipped my gun in about two days. If anyone is interested they can PM me.

I like the glock 19 but it never did feel right in my hand. I fought Glocks for 10 years before giving the M&P a fair shake. I like Glocks and I've disliked the S&W hinged trigger going back to the original Sigma. I got into a thumb safety Shield 1.0 at a good price so I put an Apex trigger kit in it and that made all the difference in the world. Since then I've picked up a 1.0 9c and I ordered the parts to convert to a thumb safety but I still need to get an Apex kit for. I'm seriously considering one of the new Performance Center models that come with both a ported barrel and a threaded barrel.

I picked up a Gen 1 .45 Compact 4-5 years ago, and I like it a lot - once I installed an Apex sear. The factory trigger on it was simply atrocious! I really haven't looked at the Gen 2 pistols, but I may do so once I get back to the States. It's unfortunate that the M&Ps aren't more popular, with more aftermarket support. Hopefully that will change.

Last fall the LE Rep brought some out for us to shoot. I am not a fan of plastic guns at all and only carry one because I have to. That said, after shooting the 2.0 9mm, I put in a pre-order and have been carrying it ever since. Great pistol, I have about 1500 rounds through it and never a bobble. Accuracy is much improved over the Gen1 40. The grip is very aggressive and will mess up your shirts, but feels great shooting it.
