Excellent guns--you definitely get more than you pay for. Local shop has sold a lot of them and never has one been returned.

The one I handled had the sweetest striker trigger I ever pulled on a stock pistol.

I know 3 guys with them and they love them. No telling how well they hold up, but as they come you get a lot for your money.

How does it feel in the hand and do sights come to target automatically? You can only know by handling one.

The open sights work for me, but I am still not fast with red dot sights and some models come with those.
The gun feels good in my hand and the trigger is about as good as they come for a striker fired pistol.

I read bunch of reviews which sing its praises and left me thinking this needs to be in 10mm for hunting.

The Turks seem to be building good, solid guns, short and long.

The Turks seem to be building good, solid guns, short and long. I have a Turkish built .410 SXS and my youngest has a 20 ga. Cannot say a bad word about them.

I had a TP9v2 that I got new-in-box for $350. It came with a highly adjustable plastic holster, an extra 18 round mag and a cleaning rod (I think it came with a different backstrap, but can't remember) all in a nicely fitted molded plastic case. Accurate, dead reliable with anything from range ammo to +p hollowpoints. The trigger is comparable to a Glock that has been fitted with a really good trigger-kit. I'd still have it if the wife's BFF hadn't fallen in love with it and plied me with cookies. Canik makes the Turkish Army's service pistol, a version of the commercial gun. Buy one, you will not regret it.

The Turks make Shotguns for Beretta/Stoeger and Browning/Winchester too.

I have owned a CZ 75 Compact for many years. A really good gun. Accurate (in fact, my most accurate double-stack 9mm), fits my hand perfectly, and carries well. A few years ago, I ran across a Canik 55 Stingray-C at a really cheap price. It was an exact duplicate of the CZ and even the magazines interchanged.
One difference between the two was the CZ has an aluminum frame and the Canik has a steel frame. That made the Canick considerably heavier and less comfortable to carry. Then, despite the extra weight, it was less accurate than the CZ. The accuracy was not bad, but average, in line with my other 9mms. I shot it a while and decided to trade it off for something else I wanted to try.
It was well worth the price. About double the price of a Hi-Point and a MUCH better firearm. About half the price of a CZ 75 C, but not quite as good.

Groo here I have an SFX long barrel. Good trigger [got tired of glocking pistols] fits well , stacks bullet holes on top of each other. The thing is, they are built for euro/nato ammo and slide springs are heavy. normal range ammo [115gr] cases fall on my arm... Mill spec run well . And my fave SD ammo [9BPLE 115gr +P+]shoots like match grade hits hard, and the gun eats them like candy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
