Hello All, How did everyone do today? Beautiful weather but no deer or bear for me.

I got a buck sunday morning. Used my 7mm-08 encore pistol with a 12" barrel. Woods are quiet. not seeing deer, and number of shots heard are way down. very quiet, can't explain it.

I just got back with a 6 pointer. Wind was starting to get bad but the deer were looking for food.

I hunt in Chautauqua county in Western NY. I took a good eating deer (ok..small buck) on Sunday of opening weekend with my Remington XP-100r in 260 Remington. I heard plenty of shooting on opening day but I didn't see a thing. In our group of 7 hunters, only one of us got a deer on opening day. My cousin's wife dropped a nice 5 pointer. The woods were pretty quiet yesterday (Saturday).
