Finally bought one. 1935 made so it matches the age of most of my hunting rifles. Any advice by other owners?

I have a 1948 sport model, I've had a few and they're very handy.

Yes they are. Your probably the reason I’ve wanted one after you pulled yours at Jeff’s. Can’t remember why you pulled it, was it the muskrat?

I have gone into lgs or smiths on a few time with no intents of buying much and been bitten. Search this (other guns) for series 2 woodsman . I'm not complaining just observing. It happened again at Rileys next trip in A number 1 ruger probable unfired in 25-06. I have just dropped off a ruger 1 at a smith who has one in the rack which has one of the sharps rounds. Hopefully it will be gone when I go back for mine.. DON K
called to see if mine was ready (not yet) the # 1 in the rack is gone ,saved again DON K
here is a pic The sport was made Dec 1950 bought Jan 1951 was (borrowed by my wife for several years I was allowed to clean it) ( if I had complained she probably would challenge to a shoot off for it) I would probable lose that one.. Tm bought 2017 made late 1951/1952 do not have the little red book here in Fl so I can not check.. Have a day DON K

I love the look, feel, grip, balance, and accuracy of the old Woodsman's. I got totally hooked a dozen years ago and that was pretty much all I looked for.
I dealt with my addiction by learning about Hi Standard. Two addictions are always better than one.
I'm shocked that more people haven't discovered these sleepers. They still sell at very reasonable prices.
