Near as I can tell they've been bumping them up $50-$75 a year for the last 20 years. Still making a darn nice gun.

MSRP on a M83 premier grade is almost $2900 now. When did this happen? As best I can tell it all went up about 3:47 PM, Tuesday last :-P More seriously, price increases in firearms still amazes me. I went a good number of years without buying anything. Current prices on most everything have far outstripped inflation over the same period. It has to be unsustainable in the long run but sure doesn't seem to be tapering off...

I'm pretty sure the prices just went up.
I watch one of their dealers EVERY DAY for used guns and they list their price as well as MSRP and noticed a bump...

Im just glad i bought mine when i did. They have gone up by 700 dollars nearly in the time it took my rugers and bfrs to literally to go up a fraction of that. Compared to vehicles which have gone up much more significantly in that time frame i still think its not that out of line. Just makes the bfrs and rugers that much better imho.

So, if current prices on most everything have far outstripped inflation, doesn't it make one surmise that the official inflation numbers are what is wrong? The way the federal government calculates inflation has changed a number of times in the past to hide what the inflation rate really is.
