Picked up a hard to find Mountain Gun. Linen micarta Culina grips suit it me thinks.... This is the 2nd one I've owned. Never should have sold the first one. They're not getting cheaper or easier to find I can promise you that.

That's a 7 shot. Here I was thinking S+W Mountain Gun = 44 mag. I didn't know they made the Mt Gun in 7 shot 357.

You got a good one! I picked up a 6-shot, .357 Mt Gun and have enjoyed it. They make dandy packin' pistols.

The first run 7 shot .357 Mountain Gun is my favorite. Paco Kelly's article "A Gun For The Mountains" sealed my fate and provided interesting load data. Mine is far and away the most accurate of examples I have in .45 Colt/45AR and an early .44 Magnum Mountain Revolver.
Thanks for sharing.

It's a 686-5 plus mountain gun. Looks like someone switched out the MIM cylinder release for an older one.
That is a very rare find btw, prices on stuff like that are skyrocketing.

Sorry, but when I saw the second & third pic & noticed it was a 7 shot 357, I called you a bad name.
Yeah, 357 mtn. guns are hard to find, one showed on the S&W forum last week, & while I was soul searching about it, it got snatched up.
Good grab. Enjoy it.

I too have the 45 Colt/45 Auto Rim, great packing guns & they shoot terrific. Yours looks fantastic & the grips set it off just fine, enjoy!! What bullet are you using in your little gem?
