I'd forgotten that this gun was made, but last night I was browsing through an old gun rag, a 1982 Shooting Times Stainless Steel Handguns, and saw an advertising photo on the inside rear cover of the 10 1/2" untapered barrel Metallic Silhouette Model with undercut Patridge front and Bo-Mar lookalike rear... 44 Mag. of course. I've never seen a real one. I don't believe that John Taffin tested one in the old days of The Silhouette, but perhaps David Bradshaw did. In any event, it interested me and I wondered if any of you have one, and what your experiences have been with them. There can't be many of them, and indeed maybe only samples were made. Any photos would likely put me in a deep state of lust.

My dad has a 10.5" 44 Virginian Silhouette. I'll try to snap some photos of it when I get a chance. They were real tack-drivers. Interarms used premium blank on that model and free-bored the barrel. -Lee www.singleactions.com

BTW, while not common, they do turn up now and again. In fact, I've seen a couple on Gunbroker.com and Auctionarms.com within the past year. -Lee www.singleactions.com
