Just found this in a pawn shop. I’ve never heard of them but i am intrigued. Does anyone ave any experience with them? I am really debating on getting it. It is a 30-30. Edited to add: I got it. Hope to spend a little time with it this weekend.

I had an early one in .357 Magnum. It was accurate, approximating the performance of a Contender. They have an excellent set of sights. Ergonomics were okay, but the gun was butt heavy, and many required trigger jobs. One friend had one in .22 LR, and another friend had one in 7mm International-R, a necked down shortened, improved .30-30. The later versions, like his 7mm, had a cross bolt safety. The picture you've shown doesn't. They sold new for about $325-350. They were made for about a year or two in the late '80's - early '90's, as I recall, and sold through the IHMSA's Silhouette newsletter, before Nolan Jackson stopped producing them. I don't know how many were made, but I suspect that production was low. Ten inch barrel .30-30's aren't wonderful, ballistics wise.

Yes i should get? Or yes you have experience with it?
Is 500 a fair price? It seems to be a decent value from what the internet tells me.

Joe, see above edited post. "yes" was a test on my desk top, since I'm having trouble with my Ipad, and unable to post from it. Obviously, the desk top worked. $500 doesn't seem outrageous.

Well it's a kicker in 7 int rimmed. I shot one some offhand, and it smacks your hand hard, right straight back into your palm. My contender in same caliber is not near as bad to me. If not for that I thought it was a good gun. John Roberts

If you follow them on Gunbroker.... $500.00 is about the going price. 30-30 is not as common as the 7int-r.

Thanks for the feedback y’all! I went ahead and picked it up. I figured it was worth that just play with for a little bit.

If you get tired of it, please let me know. I've had a couple, but never a .30-30, which I would enjoy.
One I should have never sold was a 2 barrel set, .22LR and .32 Magnum. Perfect varmint and plinking pistol, so naturally I let it go.....
