I did see that. I have heard about shooting 32-20 in NM 30 carbine Blackhawks but I’ve never heard what he is suggesting. I looked at cartridge drawings on Page8 at Steve’s pages and I don’t think I’d be doing it. There is 0.017 difference at the base (just above the rim) between 32 H&R Mag and the bigger 32-20.

I bet it would work......once. Works just fine, it a touch hard on the straight walled cases, but it goes bangs and hits targets at even reasonably long distances. Dont ask how I know...

People regularly stick cartridges into guns not intended to fire them..... some blow up and most get by with it. As long as it fits or can be forced in they do it.

Unless the .32-20 chamber is oversized, I don't think a 327 is going to fit in a 32-20 chamber. At least the numbers don't think so.

You can shoot a 9mm in a 40 glock, I've seen the semi auto shooters in the lanes next to me do it, then wonder why the gun jammed. Obviously they don;t do it on purpose.
Personally, I wouldn't make a habit of that kind of fireforming. I like more confidence I'm starting the bullet straight when I'm blowing open cartridges, and even then the excercise is a bit different than shooting factory straight walls in bottleneck chambers.
