Bill Hamm sent me a cherry correct OM SBH cylinder for the original brassie SBH that Kings6 gave me... ;D We measured to make sure that we were not undersize for length... The new cylinder is a few silly .0001 or so to long. I am thinking that I tape the end of the cylinder to protect the blue and then carefully stone the end until it fits the cylinder frame... When it fits I'll verify that it locks up properly and the chambers align with the barrel.... Am I missing anything?

Axe, If it is less than a thou I would take it of the back, it is easier to keep the ratchet perpendicular to the axis of the cylinder. Plus rotate the cylinder every few strokes to keep from creating an out of square condition.

Your numbers read "ten thousandths"..... but I bet you mean 0.001" or 0.002", eh?
The trick is to keep your efforts perpendicular to the cylinder's axis.

The idea is that it is very close.... Hit me today that I need to look read hard at the barrel to cylinder gap as I fit this thing...

Get some measurements off that NM cylinder that came with the Super..... if it fits "tight". OAL; ratchet to bushing. That's the length you'll need to duplicate to get the OM cylinder to fit. Ratchet to front face of cylinder (w/o including the bushing/gas ring in the measurement). Compare those numbers from both cylinders and you'll get a real quick idea about B/C gap. If the gap's going to end up "big" then it's off to a good 'smith for barrel work.
JMHO,
