Personally competed with scoped and red dot wadcutter guns with slide mount, grip mount, frame mount, and dustcover mount. While I prefer the frame mount I shot slide mounted stuff until I retired and had a few dustcover mount guns built in the mid 90s. The concept of the slide mount is good but I like the load freedom that I feel like getting the scope off the slide gives me. This dustcover mount gun is one of a few full up paper punchers built by the All NG Gunsmith for me after I retired. The Burris scope is one of the scopes built for Gil Hebard expressly for Bullseye shooters.

I've got a B Square frame mount with a 2 X Luepold on my nickle 70 series... I much prefer shooting a frame mount... find the added weight on the slides distracting...

I like the wedge mainspring housing. Don't see those too often.

I run the Wilson V grip housing on my active paper punchers. Started with Ed Brown's wedge. Somewhere along the way Ed's wedge became Wilson's V... Wedge or V....the Wedge/V just fills my hand a little better.
