Nice group. Keep in mind a rule of thumb with a double as you increase the load the right and left converge too much powder and they cross.

Nice rifles guys!!! These pics aren't mine, but the rifle "Almost" was. This stainless Searcy .470NE double was for sale a couple of years ago and I had the money to get it. The "Home Commander" gave me the thumbs up and I made the call......two hours too late. It was advertised as one of only two stainless Searcy doubles on the planet. (Pics from the ad...the only things I have left to remember the rifle)...... In retrospect...I'm glad I missed it as the money went for more "responsible" things in life. It would have been fun to have for the Africa trip though.

What does the price tag on that stainless Searcy 470 NE double say? Is it $9,759.00?

Ray, If I remember correctly it was $12,599.00. You could do a real good plains game hunt with a guest for that price!!! ...so I did. Stump

This is what I treasure most about firearms: even if you apply yourself to the field your entire life you will still always find folks that (A) have more knowledge than you and are willing to freely share and (B) Have way cooler toys than you do! Someday... Great stuff, gang. Box, that Ugarteachea(?) is the neatest thing I have seen in quite a while.

Hey Len, you remember this one? Btw, had no idea you were interested in revolvers. It's good to see you here! Pete

Hi Pete,
Yes I remember you and the rifle its been a lot of years. As I recall I had two W.R.s that looked like twins other than barrel length? Their serial numbers were not all that far apart.
Good to see it got a permanent home and looks well taken care of.
I like revolvers always have, just wish I could do it all a second time, this time with a large bore handgun.
Thank you for the memory.
